Having suffered for years with digestive related problems, namely, constipation, candida albicans, IBS and food intolerance, and having discovered ways to alleviate my symptoms I decided to put my knowledge into practice in order to help others experiencing similar issues.
I spent three years training to become a Nutritional Therapist with CNM the College of Naturopathic Medicine, with the aim of specialising in digestive and bowel related conditions. CNM is the UK’s largest training provider of a range of natural therapies. Their naturopathic approach to wellness looks at the whole person rather than at a collection of symptoms. They have an unmatched focus on clinicalapplication and practice and a commitment to train students to become successful practitioners. I have an extraordinary passion for nutrition, but fully appreciate that not everyone does, so it can be hard to make nutritional changes even though we know they’re in our best interest. With that in mind I treat each client individually, taking some clients through to good health with tiny baby steps whilst others integrating huge changes from the outset. It really does all depend on each individual and what the client is happy to do. Making some small changes is much better than not making any at all, and often these small changes can have a profound healing effect on the body. To be effective, healing must be individualised to the person, taking into consideration their personality, health status, insights, beliefs, past experiences and circumstances.
As a Nutritonal Therapist I specialise in the following:
- Digestive health
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Arthritis and other joint and muscle related conditions
- Skin health
- Weight management
